It is time once again to vote for your favorite entry into the Monthly Challenge. This month seemed to have been especially hard for a lot of us to come up with something to match the criteria. We were to have created something using only Blue-Violet, Blue-Green and Yellow-Orange, along with one other color of our choice, or one of these; black, white, gold or silver. So our creations were to have only a maximum of 4 colors. As you can see there were quite a few to have come up with some beautiful designs. There is quite a bit of diversity in the wonderful things these amazing artists have come up with.
The voting will be open from Sept.1, 2009 until midnight EST Sept.7, 2009. Please vote for the entry you feel best meets the criteria of the theme for this month. Five lucky voters chosen at random will recieve some very nice creations from our talented artists here at the Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy.
The theme for our September challenge is “Color Combinations”. Our members voted for their top 3 choices on a color wheel, and the winners were all tertiary colors: Blue-Green, Blue-Violet, and Yellow-Orange, all beautiful colors by themselves, but what a challenge to showcase them all together! As an added twist, the members can choose to add either 1 additional color of their choice or 1 of the following colors: Black, White, Gold or Silver. What this means is the entries will each contain a maximum of four colors.
Here are two of our entries, a beautiful floral pendant created by M.E. of BeeTreeByMe, and this lovely covered tin by Arlene of AshPaints.
There is still time for our members to enter their creations by uploading a picture of them to our flickr challenge pool by midnight August 28th EST.
Please join in the fun by voting for your favorite entry between September 1 and midnight, EST of September 8, 2009. Check back here on the 1st to cast your votes. Five lucky voters chosen at random will also win one of these gorgeous polymer clay prizes created by our member artists.

Our theme for this month for our PCAGOE members only is “Color Combinations”. The colors for the month were chosen from a poll conducted on our PCAGOE forum.
The winning colors were: 1) Blue-Violet, 2)Blue-Green and 3)Yellow-Orange. Your entry must include all of these colors and may also include one of the following: black, white, silver or gold, or one color of your choice.
Anything goes, it could be a complex cane, mokume gane, mica shift, a skinner blend. You can make art, jewelry, sculptures…..anything as long as it is at least 50% polymer clay and you use the three colors and the one of your choice.
Upload your entry to our flickr challenge pool by midnight of the 28th of August. Please include a title and description, but please don’t title it with “Challenge Entry”.

Tough to choose just one! For me it was a coin toss between Ancient Sun and Lava Pen.
Love the colors on this one! (Ancient Sun)
Super entries! Was really hard to choose. It was a tie really, between Iris Mishly’s bugs and this wonderful necklace (Ancient Sun).
All artists are fantastic. My favorite is my friend, Susan with Fungible Elements.
Wow! Beautiful entries this month. Amazing work.
Heard about the vote at Polymer Clay Central. The Black Rose with Honey Necklace by Laurel Steven is just gorgeous!
All beautiful, difficult to choose!
All the pieces were beautiful!
I dabble in clay and have found your guild to be very helpful in my learning process! I discovered resin coating thanks to your members! Also, I have a great respect for the quality of/and artistry of your talented members! I LOVE participating in nominating a winner every month!
I felt that the “Room in my heart” pendant was an excellent example of the challenge and at the same time created a very elegant, simple piece whose depth adds intrigue to the usage of materials.
All entries are gorgeous! Very creative and artistic, too! Well done!
Good luck to everyone…they are all great!
I love SCDiva designs.
It was soooooo hard! I had to keep narrowing it down and then finally got down to two.
All these works are awesome!!! Really nice to see such a variety of work.
It’s amazing the diversity of work from essentially one medium - fantastic work!
What a wonderful array this month. So hard to choose a favourite, but I chose Iris’ because they are so fun and colourful and unique.
I’ve been following this blog for a couple of months now, I love seeing all the new pieces and find it very resourceful!
I love the simplicity and wearability of this piece (Mixed Media Bracelet by Polyclarific)
